The phones and ATAs we provide come pre-programmed; all you need to do is plug them in and start making calls. Our security solutions are easy to set up, can be monitored in-office or remotely, and come with live, 24/7 phone support. We also provide digital and online training material to bring you information on all of the different functions our security solutions and UC platform has to offer; so you can get the most out of your investment.

Michael Steed, CEO of True IP Solutions, LLC, has more than 25 years of experience in telecommunications, leadership, and new business development. Michael’s extensive background in wireless, VoIP, Internet technologies, and business solutions have helped him to build companies and lead the way within multiple markets related to all aspects of his experience. Michael was previously employed with Star Telephone as Vice President of Competitive and Subsidiary Operations, where he managed operations of the ISP and a cable television plant. Under his leadership, he started and managed InterStar Communications, a regional ISP, in 1995 before selling this company to Star Telephone in late 2000. He sold all interests in Carolina Plastics in 2016, which he operated for over 20 years serving the window and door industry and the agriculture industry with custom PVC extrusions. Michael has been a member of the Society of Plastic Engineers since 1993. Steed also owns interest in Steed Farms Inc, a 350-acre pork and poultry operation in the Clinton, NC area. Steed is also a founding member and presently sits on the board of AgCareers.com, a leader in the online HR industry for agriculture. Michael is an active member within his community and an active member of Topsail Presbyterian Church in Hampstead, NC. Michael and his wife Becky reside in Hampstead, NC and have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.

Albert Steed is Chief Operating Officer for True IP Solutions. He is responsible for providing overall strategic and operational direction for the company’s technological planning and development.

Albert has more than 20 years of experience in information technology, system design, software development, and testing. Prior to joining True IP, he was the CIO of Velocity Solutions, a FinTech company, where he worked for more than 8 years. He also held a leadership position with PPD, a global multi-billion dollar contract research organization, where he worked for more than 7 years. Albert has also worked in the IT side of the internet service provider, public safety, and agriculture industries.

As a volunteer, Albert serves as a mentor for the Cameron Executive Network, part of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington’s Cameron School of Business. Albert is also a member of the IS/MS CSIS Advisory Board at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Albert has a BS in Management Information Systems from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington’s Cameron School of Business. Albert lives in Wilmington, NC with his wife and sons. He has a passion for health and wellness and anything that combines being outside and being active.

Hunter Nethercutt is the Sales Engineer for True IP Solutions. He oversees the onboarding and implementation of our hosted VoIP platform for new customers and provides support to existing clients.

Hunter is originally from Clinton, NC. After graduating from Clinton High School in 2009, he attended East Carolina University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Hunter joined the TIPS team in August 2014 and has been with us ever since. He enjoys working closely with customers to tailor the system to their individual needs and is passionate about providing a seamless transition when moving to the TIPS platform.

Hunter resides in downtown Wilmington, NC. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, surfing, and trying new restaurants and breweries in the Wilmington area.

Scot Glenn is a Network Engineer with True IP Solutions. He collaborates with the support team to configure, install, and troubleshoot the Voice Over IP environment. He is also a Technical Engineer for our sister company, Security IP Solutions.

Prior to joining TIPS, Scot served in the US Navy and is a veteran of Desert Storm. After his service, he began building computers and configuring networks. For 20 years, he provided world-class support for a large software company, helping his customers meet critical "go live" goals and securing their data.

Scot spends his off time enjoying the Carolina coastline with his wife. You can often find them savoring one of Wilmington's locally brewed beers and great seafood.

Brian Hales is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of True IP Solutions (TIPS). TIPS provides technology solutions, including network design and support, integration, and VoIP solutions to enterprise customers across the US. As CTO, Brian serves as the executive in charge of networks, data management, application systems, and developing engineering solutions to meet customer needs. In addition to his role as CTO of TIPS, Brian is co-founder of Security IP Solutions which specializes in access control, alarm panels, and security systems for school systems and government agencies. Combined, both companies can meet your VoIP and security needs seamlessly.

Prior to his current positions, Brian worked as a network engineer for an internet service provider and telecommunications company. His responsibilities included a multitude of initiatives ranging from network management to server maintenance for small, medium, and enterprise businesses.

Brian lives in Hampstead, NC with his wife and son. In his free time, he enjoys being with his family. He volunteers as a Cub Scout Den Leader and Assistant Scoutmaster. Because of his strong desire to learn, Brian continuously earns new certifications and constantly seeks out the latest technologies to help his customers grow.

Matthew Pardue serves as a Level 3 Support associate and Network Engineer for True IP Solutions. Prior to joining TIPS, he worked for Rowan-Salisbury Schools in North Carolina in their technology department as a Network and VOIP Technician. He has prior experience in network engineering and troubleshooting, is comfortable working with Windows, Mac, and Linux environments (both installation and repair), and has worked in a variety of environments and roles.

Matthew is originally from Salem, VA and relocated to North Carolina nearly 20 years ago. He enjoys woodworking, reading, and learning about a myriad of topics.

Joshua Le joined True IP Solutions as a Voice & Project Engineer. He is responsible for triaging support for all issues relating to telecommunications and networking, as well as providing product information for all TIPS customers and resellers.

Prior to joining TIPS, he was a Subject Matter Expert for Garmin International, supporting large B2B customers and resellers for their inReach 2-way satellite communicator product and website. He also has experience working with large web application teams, triaging major issues with web site and backend utilities, and providing detailed product information for internal and external users.

As a native of Maine, Josh attended University of Maine for Computer Science and Information Technology.

Josh is recently engaged with his fiancée Gwen in Hampstead, NC. In his spare time, Josh enjoys listening to live music and playing disc golf.

Jonathan Is a Support Engineer with True IP Solutions.

Jonathan earned a BS in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington prior to joining TIPS. Before that, he worked as a nuclear and wind turbine technician for FieldCore, a GE company.

In his free time, he likes mountain biking and spending time with his family.
